"When I arrived at the hotel, I was a little nervous. It was an old building with an unimpressive facade. Definitely not a luxurious hotel. The stairs remind me of an old governmental building from the 60s. But if you don't care for luxury, it's a perfect hotel. The room is spacious and renovated, with the shower and the toilet in separate booths. While the hotel has no gym, it has an agreement with nearby TrainMore (one minute on foot) so guests can use a fully-equipped gym. The breakfast was simple but adequate. Instead of paying about 23 Euros for the full buffet, I just picked things I needed (eggs, fruit, yogurt, and coffee) and paid 8 Euros. Highly recommend it"

"Rotterdam was just a one night stop before our flight back home and we loved it and this hotel made the difference. Super friendly and helpful staff, super comfy bed, great food nearby. And the next day they stored our luggage since our flight was not until 10pm. Will definitely be back and will look for other CitizenM in other cities i visit!"

"Good place for an overnight or weekend trip to Rotterdam. Very well located on a great street (nightlife, restaurants, bars, etc) and close to museums and shopping. Comfortable bed, room can get a bit stuffy (summer), well-equipped common bathrooms. Overall, a good place to stay for the price."

"While it was kind (and odd) to be upgraded but without access to the M Lounge, it really didn't matter. The staff working The Pillars were all superb - particularly Maressa who kindly helped me improve my Dutch language skills. As the other 'front of house' for the hotel they are an absolute credit and I hope are recognised as such. The room was wonderful and we slept well followed up by an extensive range of breakfast choices to set you up for the day. I can recommend the cheese omelette. The location just across from Centraal station was another benefit meaning we had time to explore more Rotterdam before finally catching the train home."
