We stayed at Akkandi veedu for one night during late March. Upon our arrival, we were warmly received by one of the staff there. (Forgot her name. May be, Radha? Rama?) She sent the bell boy to get our luggage upstairs (There are no elevators.). The WiFi was great. The dinner was very good (freshly prepared onsite). It cost us around 920 rupees for 3 of us. A naturalist led a trek through the estate each day. Breakfast was sumptuous (who provides a fruit BASKET instead of a fruit cup? These Guys). I basically walked around the estate, breathed in fresh air, read on the lookout point or in the estates library, and got some solace before jumping back into Mumbai....
