Wonderful small resort hotel with impeccably clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful service, and great food and drinks in the on-site restaurant. A lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days. Looking forward to visiting again later this year!
What a pleasant surprise this place was. My wife, her sister and a cousin and I booked two rooms on the Mekong River side and found it was well worth it for the view alone. We also enjoyed a very nice al fresco dinner at the hotel's restaurant, seated next to the pool. Chiang Khong is a bit of a drive north of Chiang Rai in Chiang Rai Province, quite close to the Golden Triangle borders with Myanmar and Laos. We weren't there for the onsen, which was fortunate because some kind of renovations...
The owner could not have been more accommodating. He picked us up on arrival, drove us to a great local restaurant, and drove us in the morning to the Laos border.
The hotel was over booked but we were offered to stay at another location. Thank you for doing that. The resort was in a nice location however, there was ants within the room. Please do something about that. Otherwise, Staff was friendly and kind and offered us a free meal. We were also offered to come back and have breakfast at the same location which was overbooked.
