"Right on the beach, great location for walking to restaurants and shops. All in all a good place to stay. The room we had def could have used some updating but it was clean and beds were comfortable."

"Barcelo Aruba's staff were polite and very helpful. The premises however were worn out and need renovation. We were told that there have been several owners in a row who have not done what is necessary for maintenance. There are also shortages of towels and difficulties in finding spots at the pool (or out of the sun at the beach) unless one goes there to reserve at 6:30 am. The food was plentiful but only average even at the "special" restaurants. The drinks were syrupy and watered down in general. Hopefully if renovated and the cuisine improved, this would really be an excellent hotel."

"Nice outdoor pools but need to get your towels there early otherwise you wont get a seat. Clean resort, friendly staff, good food. "

"Breakfast was excellent with chef made omelets and many other foods to go with or without it. Hotel was clean and staff was very accommodative. "

"Lots of restaurants nearby. Great daily activities held by the hotel. And access to Renaissance Island via the direct water taxi was really convenient"

"Clean room, but no utensils provided. Paper plates and wooden forks and spoons were brought after we asked for it. No real knives either only wooden, disposable that you can’t really cut anything with. "

"The pool was refreshing and the activities were fun , the buffet was really good a lot of different choices and fresh fruits . The employees were very friendly and helpful I really loved staying at the Riu in Aruba , this was my first time in Aruba staying at the Riu palace I stayed for 9 days , I did 4 excursions I had the time of my life . Can't wait to come back . Just bring sunscreen "
