"The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The hotel is centrally located. Ample parking and easy access to walk around to the sites. Highly recommend this hotel."
"Pros: Property was clean & well maintained. Pool & beach areas had plenty of seats/umbrellas. In general staff were friendly & helpful. Provided complimentary bottle of bubbly for anniversary.
Cons: Asked front desk at check in whether our view from our ocean front room was unobstructed, & she confirmed so. However, a big palm tree obstructed our view. We paid a lot of money for our first ocean front view.. we are extremely disappointed! Housekeeping was poor (e.g. overflowing trash cans, dirty floors, took used wash cloths & hand towels and didn't replace 2x, didn't restock toilet paper etc). Lack of activities on property. Food was over priced. No free bottled water in rooms or on property, had to pay about $6-$8 USD per bottle. Property location not within walking distance to other places of interests. Costly to take cab to/from other areas. Hertz staff was rude & spoke inappropriately to us. Staff closed our umbrellas at 5pm despite a couple of hours left of high sun. Denied our request for late check out though it appeared resort was not at full capacity. We would not book at Marriott Beach Resort again if we ever returned to Curacao."
"Beautiful hotel and friendly staff always happy to help. Only thing is the carpet in the hallway on the way to the room had a horrible smell get the carpets cleaned"
"This resort is the best ever that we stayed when vacationing. It has everything we like, the room with beautiful ocean view, beautiful beaches, very friendly staff (especially Mr. Movie star/Celebrity… always smiling with joy to guests and Mr Vic always made guests feeling at home with his charms), excellent foods, tranquility and Serenity with Caribbean feelings. Thanks to Avila staff made this happening. We will be back next year with another 2 weeks."

4/10 Poor
"The food was decent. The bar was bottom shelf. The room service was terrible. The customer service was nearly non existent. Housekeeping was pretty good. There was a very disturbing fire alarm at 4AM, and we weren't given compensation, an apology or even an explanation. The natural landscape is absolutely beautiful. Solely due to the horrendous customer service I will not return, nor recommend anyone to stay here."
