The grounds are beautiful with different types of fruit trees, lovely veranda to enjoy the view of the mountains. We especially love the sisters who run the place. They are quite attentive, making sure we were comfortable. We definitely would recommend this lovely bed&breakfast

The hosts Jan and Avtar gave me such a warm and inviting welcome! My original flight was cancelled, so I arrived very late at night to the property. I loved this private property and the owners of the property Lazara & Alex. We rented the deluxe bungalow. It was such a BEAUTIFUL view of the mountains, the pool was so relaxing and it was awesome to enjoy 24hr access to the pool and go night swimming. This was my retreat experience and was delighted by the place. I see that EXPEDIA rates it at 3 1/2 star but would consider this place much higher. I have been here for a month and will be happily extending my stay another month. Ronald and his wife have been exemplary hosts! She is a charming lady who makes delicious breakfasts and does my laundry as necessary for a very reasonable rate. Ronald goes out of his way to make his guests stay a memorable experience. Just stayed here one night before flight out next morning. Seems pleasant, wish we could have enjoyed the pool. Had dinner and breakfast . Dinner was good, a little pricier than we found at most other restaurants in CR. Breakfast was included, few selections of some meats, scrambled eggs, fruit, toast and juices and coffee and teas.

This was our second time staying here and we love this place! Staff is very helpful, and made the effort to communicate with us, using our very limited Spanish. Trees and flowers are beautiful here. Many choices on Free Breakfast menu, and food is very good. We love staying in this place and know that the staff takes great pride in keeping the natural beauty of Costa Rica, and providing excellent service.

The hotel is located on top of a mountain with great expansive views. Its very cool at night but warm during the day. The cabins are cozy but have cooking facilities. The pool is refreshing. Javier does a great job making guests feel comfortable. Breakfasts were included and very tasty. There's a lot to do in the area. Poas Volcano, Grecia, and Sarchi is closer. Highly recommended.

so I loved this hotel the first few nights. But there is a lot of stuff that I need to warn others. There's nothing to do here besides a few nature walks. There is a lovely fireplace in each cabin and the cabins are lovely but there is a very very long and bumpy ride to get to the villa. I literally cringe thinking about this 45 minute road just to get access to the property. The service is great, the food is great but it's all very VERY expensive. Our 1st time in Costa Rica for a family wedding. Stayed here because it was only 20 minutes from the Int’l Airport after a long day of travel and another day of driving ahead. Margarita is an excellent hostess/owner who was very helpful and kind. Her property is “boho-chique” with rescue dogs that act as ambassadors and chickens that lay eggs for guests to dine on at breakfast; which was excellent, fresh and included with the stay. Amazing. The cabana is beautiful! It’s brand new and very comfortable. It has three walk out decks, and a one whole side of the cabana is huge windows that open to make the space open air. The views form the cancan are insane! We booked last minute, and I am sure it will be our favorite all the three paces we stay. The host was amazing! He even took us hiking up the river. I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.

Going to CR by myself; the staff at Gardens House were awesome. They treated me and those I met that also stayed there very well. I will def return to this place when I come back.

Wonderful property at the botanical gardens overlooking the San Jose city with nice walking trails. Tons of birds and butterflies. The on-site restaurant is top notch. I don’t need one, but rooms do not have televisions. Use caution if driving as the roads are steep and narrow. Cars and trucks often park in the road creating one lane there aren’t any sidewalks so people and dogs also share the roads so be mindful if driving.

We started out for the hotel from La Garita, and followed our GPS - at night time. It took 1-1/2 hours to get there over some of the most dangerous roads I had ever encountered. The hotel web site advised going by way of Zarcerio, but that did not work in our GPS. Several times I was very tempted to turn back. It was raining and foggy, and the road was essentially only one vehicle wide. Using the high beams to try and see where the road was going just resulted in a lot of glare due to the...
