"The hotel is close to the busy Mainz train station and the neighborhood can be somewhat gritty. As a single woman traveling alone I felt somewhat uncomfortable that when I checked in on Sunday I needed to use the lockbox and enter into an empty reception area. We were also in another heatwave and the rooms are not air-conditioned. These are the only 2 negatives. The room was lovely and recently updated. We had a superior room; when we arrived there was no hand soap though we got some from housekeeping and the TV didn’t work properly. Good aircon and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was over-priced for what there was, but the base price for the room was astonishingly good value."

Breakfast was great with many options to accommodate various dietary needs and mostly organic (if not all) organic food."
