Hotel Bellas Artes
10/10 Excellent
"Our maid, Mariam (small young woman) was exceptionally good! The front desk was helpful and professional. A pamphlet or conversation about ,the amenities would be very helpful. Workout area breakfast and or brunch, laundry etc. We spoke little Spanish and the staff generally spoke little English so that was a stumbling block. We definitely could have prepared ourselves better.
There was quite a bit of protesting and camping out in the street in front of the hotel. To no fault of their own, but better communication with the guests could have made that situation feel more secure and or safe. We were in Mexico City 12 days and enjoyed the culture very much.

"Nice hotel, centrally located in polanco close to restaurants and stores. I give the hotel 3 stars because the water in the shower took 15 minutes to heat up before a shower. The AC was extremely loud which didn’t make for a very relaxing sleep.
Also, by day 4 before our check in, the bathroom had started smelling a little funky (urine smell). Thank goodness it was time to check out.
Final morning at breakfast was also unnecessarily unpleasant. Staff ignored our call to pay and later came harassing us about not paying for breakfast.
Overall a nice place to stay but could definitely use some improvement."
"The room was accommodating - lots of space. We didn’t have the best view from our corner room (construction site). Check-in was quick and easy. We liked that the doors used codes to open the door instead of key cards because we typically misplace them. The rooftop was beautiful - full panoramic view of Mexico City. Only downside was the shower. The drain was super clogged and you’d be standing in crud from the drain."
"Within walking distance to all museums and other landmarks in the city. Breakfast and restaurant service was very good.
Very attentive upon arrival and departure.
I will definitely comeback again."
