"Loved this hotel. It was right on the market square in downtown Heidelberg. Being over 300 years old, the inside was charming and had the feel of old Germany. Our room was great, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, and the breakfast was enjoyable. I even had a beautiful view of the castle outside my window. One thing to know is there is no parking right at the hotel, but we just unloaded our suitcases and parked in a garage nearby."

"We had the room on the top (5th floor). It had a huge bathroom with a great deep tub (plus a big shower). The room, which was a very spacious, had beautiful exposed beams. It was charming (more so than the other units of the property, which were also nice, just not as charming) and really nicely situated in Heidelberg, two blocks or so from the castle and Christmas markets. If I am ever in Heidelberg again I would certainly stay there! The only downside is there is no elevator and the steps up...

"We enjoyed our stay at Villa Marstell. It was very quiet and clean. They accommodated our vegan breakfast though they don’t have as many choices as we would’ve liked. It was still very filling. The coffee was excellent. They have soy milk and muesli with lots of fresh fruit they make their own jams. My only criticism is that we could’ve used extra towels in our room."

"The entire hotel is elegantly laid out and furnished from the Gladiolas in rooms to the sprinkling of sparkle in the bathroom grout. The staff are helpful, authentic and entirely a joy to interact with. Our stay was certainly the highlight of a 4 city tour through the area."

"Staff was very helpful, let us know where to park the car. Checking in was easy, breakfast included was excellent. No air conditioning but they did have an oscillating fan. Very nice and comfortable bedding."
