"Hotel was ideally located to see the majority of Mumbai’s sites. Staff were very helpful and keen to assist us with finding the right room when we arrived. Area was very safe to walk around and we were only a very short walk to the Gateway to India. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. "

"I was skeptical about this hotel when first viewing it online. I had been to India before and burned by photos that do not represent current conditions at the hotel. That was not the case at Majlis. The hotel is not new and shows its age, but it is really good by local standards. The general neighborhood is also safe and vibrant, and includes plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk. "It was located near the India Gate, so it was convenient for sightseeing. There was no elevator, but the staff helped me carry my luggage, it was helpful."
