The grounds are beautiful. The staff was excellent. We had a junior suite that had a plunge pool. It was perfect. The breakfast and dinner are buffet style if you have the half-board package. This is the most idyllically suituated hotel on the North East coast of Mauritius and boasts a proud heritage in its many years of existence. Many of the guests are repeat visitors some as many as over the past 30 years and all are pleased to be here. The Food was above average although the buffet menue could do with some creativity and overhaul to more modern lines. Drinks are OK but the entertainent and service is outstanding.

All staff members treated us kindly and were very inviting and welcoming at all times, especially Gesh who was always ensuring that we were satisfied at all levels and willing to take the extra mile to accommodate whatever needs we had. Not to forget Geraldine, Evan, Sanjay, Dimitri, and the list goes on. Everyone was doing all that it needed to make our trip as memorable as can be.

My wife and I travel frequently and have been fortunate enough to visit multiple islands in Hawaii, the Caribbean as well as enjoy fine hotels all Europe and the US. Until now I have never been impressed or moved enough to even take the time to write a review. The staff at SALT of Palmar is undoubtedly the greatest we have ever encountered.
Perfect all inclusive resort, a little bit outdated, perfect food and stuff. What we didn't liked was a system of reservation (Italian a la cart restaurant, water sport activities) on first come first serve basis so nothing for late sleepers as we are.
The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice and comfortable. A short walk to the beach as well. Everything was good at the hotel, the only recommendation I have is that the check-in process is a bit slow so when you are tired after a long trip, you want to be able to have access to your room quick.
