If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to Waialea Beach in the heart of Puako. Catch the sunset by the shore at Hāpuna Beach and Puako Beach, located nearby.

We had an awesome stay. We did not realize how big this resort was. I would definitely stay at Kingsland again. It offers easy parking. And it is nice and quiet where we stayed. And we had access to any other part of the resort. So it allowed us to be away from the main building, where the beach and luau were located. Because there are a lot of people staying at that location. So where we stayed, it was nice and relaxing. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within their resort. They...
The location was perfect for our stay, all the activities that we had planned for the weekend was in Waimea or Waikoloa Village so it was so much easier then staying in Kailua town or Waikoloa. All the staff members that we dealt with were super friendly and helpful!! This place reminded me of going to the outer island in the 60's and 70's, super "chilled vibe" If you are looking for the "Aloha Spirit" and not the "Mega-Resort" this is the place to stay!!
Service was phenomenal. I am so glad there is a gold option. The scuba diving was beyond excellent and creative design of the spa and pool.
I did not appreciate the spy bugs though.
We originally stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa village and were scheduled for 10nights. However upon arrival we were unimpressed and had a depressing feeling due to the run down nature of the hotel. It's hard to put a finger on it but felt like an old amusement park. My wife and I decided to tour other resorts. We drove to the Fairmont and we loved it. We also looked at the HapunaPrince and didn't really like it much. We switched our reservation to Fairmont and cancelled the remaining stay at the...
Originally a Ritz Carlton hotel and you can tell by the quality fixtures and decor. Great dining and the sunset views are spectacular. I would definitely stay there again
We had a great 1-week stay here. We enjoyed the many features: beach, fish ponds, pool, restaurants, and the room/view was great. The hotel is beautiful, the open architecture and focus on water throughout is very unique. We visited a couple of the nearby resorts/hotels we had considered when booking the trip and it made us feel that we made the right choice, best value especially considering the price. Also, a drastic difference between the crowds we encountered at the other resorts compared...
I came here 12 years ago and visited again recently. It's a fantastic resort, and I will be back again. We like the ocean tower for the views and the adult pool for peace and quiet. Walking through the whole resort is very easy, does not take much time, and is very scenic. Facilities are clean and well cared for. Nature is everywhere around you, and there is something for everyone, even young kids. Everything was 5 stars except the housekeeping service, which could have been better. Multiple...
My 5 year old son and I spent a week at the Hilton Grand Vacation resort. For us it was a great decision. With a car, we were two minutes to the Hilton Wailkoloa resort, and had full use of their facilities with free parking. If you plan to park yourself at the Hilton Waikoloa all day, then I can see where that may be a better option for some than the Grand Vacation. We were only a few afternoons at the Waikoloa lagoon, and spent everyday exploring the island. The pool at the Grand Vacation...
I like this hotel location and the environment. I will definitely go back again. However there are a few things that irritated me and left a bad taste to my experience.
Majority of the hotel staff were very friendly and nice. It’s just only a handful that I met weren’t that polite or sincere. Management should monitor and observe to correct or replace those staff. (They weren’t in just one area or department, they from parking, reception, etc) On the other hand, there were helpful and very...
The grounds and swimming pools are beautiful and located on a bay that is fabulous for snorkeling.
We stayed in the Vacation Club part of the hotel; they provide washer/dryer and fridge, as well as recycling bins in our room.
Such an incredible stay! Just returned and it was everything I wanted in our vacation. Such a relaxing resort, beautiful grounds, amazing rooms, two large pools, plenty of space to roam around, beautiful pond with ducks, bikes available to bike around, delicious food, an awesome gym, snorkeling right from the shore….I can go on and on! We were so sad to leave and wish the Rosewood Kona so much success. Part of me doesn’t want to see it get busy so it’ll always be as quiet as it was during our...
Beach is not good. Very small swimming area. Lots of rocks even there. Need reef walkers. Hapuna beach state park is about 15 miles north of this hotel. That is a great beach.
