The property, rooms and staff were all amazing. The family that owns the hotel are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely evening chatting with them about a local festival l. It was very memorable.
However, if you did not rent a car buyer beware that it is a long and steep climb/walk to the hotel from any bus stops or ferries. And Ubers/taxis are hard to come by. Other than that the walk itself is beautiful just a little bit difficult.

This has been characterized as a highway hotel and it may so but it's definitely much more than that. Rooms are ample and very comfortable, and clean. Hotel staff is always ready to help. Located next to a highway it allows for easy access to Como, Lecco, Milan or any other place in Lombardy. You do need a car though, but there's a train station a 20-minute walk away. The view of our room was incredible, and we had a beautiful balcony overlooking lake Como. The bathroom had humidity on the ceiling which was quite noticeable, but not in the room. The breakfast was delicious. It is a family operated hotel and everyone was very courteous and polite. Access to the hotel is a bit difficult since the road to the parking is steep and narrow. Parking is free. Overall I loved my stay and I would come back. We had a great stay at the hotel!
