Very pleasant hotel. Fantastic food and service. Only gripe was that the weather was hot and there is not AC in to rooms, but a fan is provided and that made the night ok
As an American, I don't get to have the pub experience. Everything - from the building to the food to the room to the surroundings to the staff - was absolutely charming. It was a wonderful experience.

We arrived early...and Adam was there to tell us about the place. The village is quaint... easy to get groceries if needed. The room was spacious---and we had the little garden door-- we sat outside each evening....listening to the birds. There is a lot of history in this area.

Welcoming staff, convenient location. It was a really good place to stay, and convenient for the town centre. I parked the car and left it at the hotel until it was time to leave, two days later.
The food was excellent, from the bar meal the first evening to the excellent buffet breakfasts.

The hotel was lovely and set in a great location directly across the street from the Fitzwilliam museum. A short walk into the the center and very quiet. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend and will return there.
Friendly and happy staff, new beds, with having a Miller and Carter steakhouse within walking distance. Wide open lounge and relaxing area both upstairs and down. Spacious rooms.
Downside - no lifts (pun intended), no small fridge, older and squeaky doors.
An excellent hotel. Staying here made me realise how dated and shoddy some Premier Inns are. I will be looking for Holiday Inns from now on.
