This was a wonderful experience with a very special personal attention. We highly recommend anyone to stay here. The view to our hotel was magnificent! Silvia, the owner of the place is also the owner of a first quality restaurant, very prestigious. We dined there and the food is absolutely delicious! We will come back for sure.
Castello Di Monterone is a small castle that has outfitted into an 11-12 room hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable with high quality bathrooms, windows, etc. There are lots of little alcoves, inside and out, to hole up in. Great view of Perugia from across the valley, and the city itself is only a few minutes away (although it's one of the more maze-like experiences to try to get into the city center.)

The reception and service staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. The rooms are clean and very spacious. I was delighted to learn that Pope Saint John Paul II slept in this place when it was still a religious site.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not for you. If you want a place that is clean, comfortable and offers peace and tranquility near Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, … this place is perfect!

Beautiful, seculded hilltop estate with great view and beautiful grounds. Nice pool. Hosts were warm and inviting and dinner of regional cuisine was good. Rooms are large and relatively sparse with minimal amenities, and beware there is no A/C. Breakfast was simple. They produce award winning olive oil available for purchase.
My stay was not planned well in advance. I had a fairly traumatic day with a lot of stress and being on the edge of heatstroke. I was supposed to have been hundreds of kilometers away but could not make it there. I booked the room at Lo Spedalicchio as it was close and well reviewed. The woman working there, Susanna ( I'm sorry if the spelling is wrong), was amazing. She was very helpful and attentive. I was at a very low point and my stay there was great! Thank you!

This is a lovely hotel close to the center of Perugia. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was immaculately clean. The view over the city and into the Umbrian countryside was lovely. We were very happy with everything the hotel had to offer.

Amazing place to stay! It is the little things that make this place one of a kind: like two suitcase stands in the room. The service felt like they were full time career professionals that felt like they really cared about the place and the hospitality. Dinner and breakfast was amazing! We stayed at the hotel for three nights in January. The hotel is beautiful, warm and comfortable. The service was excellent. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, especially the pastries. The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed using it and the sauna. We look forward to some day returning to the Sina Brufani.
