Stayed in the OCEAN VILLA, they also have garden and beach villas. They all seemed nice but the OCEAN VILLA is AMAZING! Nice, quiet resort, ideal for those wanting a peaceful vacation. They also have an excellent dive center on site which I used every day. I got the all inclusive package, food was good. Customer service was great!!! Overall a GREAT place to vacation.
All the staff are incredibly kind and courteous. Airport transit was flawless, and very easy. Stayed in the Samaan Suite. Bed was comfortable. Had room service every night, so the food is definitely reliable, they also ask about dietary restrictions at check in, and were happy to make dishes according to our needs. Nice stay prior to our morning flight. Airport transfer was via taxi and was included in the rate. The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was fabulous, better than the fancy resort we had just come from. Thomas, the owner of the hotel, was personable and friendly and we enjoyed our conversations. Would definitely stay again.
First, this hotel is the best kept secret. Somerset ranks number one in my book. It is the only hotel I would stay in when in Male. The hotel's rating is four stars but overall it's a five star. Not in the best of locations (small street) but it's located next to everything you need. I was treated like valuable customer by all the staff including the great restaurant next door. The food was excellent, people friendly and they truly find pleasure in giving their guest amazing service.
From the moment we landed in Malé to the time we left the island, the hospitality and friendliness of the staff was very welcoming. Our Hostess made sure that every little detail had been taken care. The sunset villa was ideal for our stay. The 4 visits to Elena Spa during our stay was ideal after having been couped up inside a metal tube for over 14 hours.

After a few minutes of disorganized scrambling to get a room ready even though they knew when I would arrive, they were an excellent hotel and staff. Very helpful with MLE shuttle. The room was immaculate - it was easy to believe we were the first guests ever in the hotel. One could get the same impression from how helpful the staff were.

Superb from start to finish. Picked us exactly on time from Male airport. Great apartment that was perfect for our needs. Very clean, great location, and delicious breakfast.

Our honeymoon adventure with Ocean Grande was great, had really good time. Staff was very caring always there to comfort you with all possible means. Never had that kind of stay in any of US hotels that I went to in this limited budget. I should here mention Sudhar (Manager) and Anandhu (house keeping) made our stay of week so special, can not forget it. I have captured most of those wonderful memories.

The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We arrived late into Male and they were onsite waiting for us with a car to take us to our hotel. They coordinated the arrival the next morning with our resort and seaplane transfer. A wonderful experience for Americans traveling to Maldives for the first time.
