Travelling for work and I had the place to myself due to the pandemic. Felt a bit guilty for putting out the owner, Michelle, just for me but she was very welcoming. I travel quite a bit for work and when you stay in an independent guest house, it can be a bit hit and miss, but I felt immediately comfortable here. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean, the breakfast was good and they have a well stocked ‘honesty’ bar with reasonable prices. Recommend
The only difficulty was for our room. It was on the second floor but the lift didn't actually go to the floor the room was on. It was a bit strange, so, after the first day, we avoided the lift for the rest of our stay. However, that was minor. In general, the room and the hotel were terrific. Customer was service was phenomenal and the breakfast was quite good. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay all around.
Good hotel, rooms are on the small side but well equipped. Shower was tight but worked well. Breakfast was fairly good, reasonable cereal choice, fruit choice was adequate. Cooked was variable, eggs tended to be overdone. Staff were great, nothing was too much. Hotel is up a stiff hill but about 10 minutes from the front
We were a little anxious about the stairs to our room, but when we saw the view it was worth it! But be aware, it is an old building and quirky, some low ceilings in bathrooms. Breakfast was great. Location is the best with bus stop nearby. Beds very comfy and room recently renovated. Had a delightful maid who put smiles on our faces (young with red hair, sorry don't have name, give her a raise!)
