My wife and I are on a 5 week trip around central, eastern and northern Spain. When visiting bigger..or pricier...cities we like to stay a bit out of town in a 4 star place which is inexpensive and yet has great accessibility to its main city. The Hotel K10 in rural Urnieta is perfect: only 12 mins by train from San Sebastian (and a 10 min, delightful walk through nice country and a bit of the town to get to the station), plus regular and cheap train service. Highly recommended.

The boutique Hotel has an amazing organic aesthetic, and amazing interiors and external gardens. Breakfast is incredible with an amazing group of two folks that go above and beyond on service, so kind and are ahead of you on any need.
