Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The room was massive, the accessible food hall with breakfast lunch and dinner available was great. Located in a great complex with access to a small market for snacks. We will absolutely be back
We loved our stay in Gdansk at the Podewils. It is slightly out of the main historic district, and hence very quiet, although the main district is available with a 5 minute walk. The staff and ownership of the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and eager to help in all ways. The breakfast was excellent, with cooked eggs and bacon available in addition to a complete buffet. This is a classically styled hotel in an older building. I will be back here every time we come to Gdansk. The room was beautifully decorated, well designed, had everything you could want. We stayed in a suite in the oldest part of the building with a skeleton key to open the door! Original wood, beautiful plaster details, comfortable bed. The sauna is free to guests and is spacious and never crowded. Their breakfast is amazing and the service was really tailored. About a 15 minute walk to old town.
Nice room with great ventilation. The location is the best in town but gets loud outside on fridays and saturdays. Would be nice if the towel rack was electric. Only turns on when it's below 15 Celsius. So it was always quite damp in the room since we were three adults.
I loved this hotel, the hourly tolling of bells was an added plus. I was concerned because I only found two glasses and we had three people staying, but I just hadn't looked in the cabinet above something, a little high for me to reach. We also had to walk a bit to catch an Uber, but I loved the area and loved walking through it so it was a minor problem.
Wow. 11/10. Had such a great stay here. The location vis a vis Main Town Gdansk is super convenient, the breakfast is EXCELLENT. Very helpful and friendly staff. The triple attic room was perfect for my stay with my mom, was nice to have a little extra space. I will probably visit Gdansk again and I will certainly be staying here.
I just returned from being at this hotel for a week. I traveled with my mom who is a young 85 years old and when we arrived (60 Zloty from airport by cab) we were greeted and given a room immediately. We were also given a plethora of information about breakfast, which we added with our room and the boat rides, which leave every hour and can drop you off, and information all about the hotel and the surrounding area. When we got to our room it looked really comfortable, but the bathtub was so high...
