This is a really nice hotel for the price. The location is probably 30 mins away from the 2 best beaches on the island. Not to mention the location is also by a beach that has some great waves and even a soccer stadium with a track. It's also by some good resturants. breakfast in the morning was amazing and staff was super nice. Definitely give it a try. Oh and there are cats all over the place outside of the hotel that the hotel helps feed, pretty cool just watching cats come and go haha.
We got there around 6pm, the staff was super nice and check-in was quick. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the views from our balcony were excellent.
When I say this hotel is a five star experience, it even feels like an understatement. From the staff to the view and the idyllic environment, The Theodore is perfection. I hesitate to even write a review because I worry it will get overrun with tourists, but not writing it would be a disservice to the hotel. It’s beyond expectations. A perfect place for a quiet beach stay.

This hotel was really amazing!! it's newly built complex and had all the facilities you would need plus an amazing view of the ocean - the hotel is on a sandy beach which makes sunbathing and swimming (and doing yoga if you're into it) such a relaxing experience! Right opposite they have a cool island and the sunset from the rocks is a sight not to miss!! and most importantly the staff
was really friendly and catered to our every need .
We visited the Resort off season (mid-october) and did not reap its benefits. The resort located in Agia Marina (15km from Chania Town). The resort is split into two sections (across the road) and connected via overpass. The section closer to the beach has rooms with individual swimming pools, separate breakfast buffet, underground parking lot with elevator. The section across the road has much larger buffet, all hotel services such as concierge, spa, shops, conference rooms, hotel rooms... Both...
This is a beautiful and modern hotel directly across from the sea (two beaches right across the street). I stayed in the luxury suites and had a great experience. The infinity pool is beautiful and overlooks the sea (you also overlook the road, which is unavoidable). Unlike other hotels I have stayed in Crete, the poolside bar remains open late into the evening even after the pool is closed to swimming and the cocktails are good. The hotel is clean and quiet and has everything you need during your stay in Chania, including parking. The people are very kind and it's very easy to move around between Kalamaki, Chania town and Platanias by car or bus. The pool area is very relaxing.
