"En general bien, la comida y diferentes restaurantes muy buenos. A partir de las 16 hs no hay comida en la zona de la playa.
Me dieron una habitación con mucho olor a humedad y no estaba en condiciones el baño. Recién la tercera habitación que nos dieron fue aceptable. Mal momento pasé.
El hotel estaba lleno pero siempre había lugar en los restaurantes y reposeras tanto en la playa y en la pileta.
Todo bien menos las habitaciones. Falta remodelar, olor a humedad insoportable."

"Our butler Lionel Richie went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend him to anyone staying there. The room was good after working out a few kinks. The pool and beach area were always clean and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Food was good, honestly better than any other time I’ve gone to the Dominican (first time staying at a majestic resort). The entertainment was good. The Michael Jackson show was our favorite entertainment of the week, Maluma out did himself. Thank you everyone for working so hard to ensure your guest enjoy their vacation. "
"The Ocean was huge! Lol I loved the swim up pool, the entertainment staff, and the FOOD!
Sometimes the staff was dismissive and/or rude. However, there were other staffs who were amazing and overly helpful in certain situations.
It also seemed like a lot of hustling. Like getting stopped 5 times coming out of breakfast to attend the “presentation” exhausting. I did participate in the “presentation” they make it seem like you can get up and walk out at any point, but when you try you end up sitting for 2 hours.
Overall it was cool. The property is old, but well maintained. You can tell they put effort in keeping the property up."

"One of the best resort I have visited by far. The ambiance Organization and intentionality displayed in everything at the resort stands it apart. Nothing was left to chance the staff understands client satisfaction and delivers top notch services always. The front desk, cart drivers and other staff were all friendly and ever willing to help. The restaurants deliver a whole range of satisfying meals that making a choice becomes difficult the buffet was fantastic. The Cocotal golf course was impressive and I had fun playing its very generous fairways while enjoying the discounts associated for staying at Melia. We totally enjoyed our stay and looking forward to a return very soon."
"The resort was beautiful and spacious. The grounds were equally lovely. The junior suite with connecting rooms were extremely spacious and the fridge was stocked with drinks and liquor. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and kept a clean room. The food was great and the servers were very attentive. The beach was the absolute highlight of my vacation at Bávaro Punta Cana!!"
"Le di una nueva oportunidad a este resort ya que el pasado año también estuvimos en el. Pero definitivamente no regresaría, a pesar de q la instalación es grande y tiene atracciones para niños y se pasa bien ya es hora de que reacondicionar el hotel porque las instalaciones están muy desgastadas y se ven viejas. Hay un olor a fosa en todo el hotel horrible ese hotel necesita urgentemente un buen mantenimiento general desde habitaciones, bufet, piscinas. El agua de las habitaciones huele horrible. Y la comida este año estuvo pésimo no había variedad y no estaba muy bien elaborada parecía un comedor obrero. Y la mayoría de los trabajadores deberían ser un poco más atentos con los clientes pq es así como a uno de landeseos de dar propinas según la atención recibida. Hubo días en q nadie se acercaba a ofrecer algo de beber en el bufet. El hotel tiene mucho potencial en estructura pero ya esta muy deteriorado."
"I would not recommend staying at Occidental Punta Cana. This was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve ever had.
The food was absolutely terrible; bland, low quality, and often seemed like it had been sitting out far too long. Every meal was a struggle to find something even remotely enjoyable. Not only that, but there was glass broken all over the resort. I sat on some in the Italian restaurant and cut my hand up. (In the restaurants & by the pool.)
The staff made the experience even worse. They were beyond rude and completely unhelpful. Simple requests felt like a burden to them, and there was zero effort to make guests feel welcome or taken care of.
Overall, this resort was a huge letdown. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values cleanliness, quality, and customer service."
"This is our second time at the resort an the food didn't disappoint, I can't say the same for the entertainment tho, we were there on the third week of April and there wasn't a lot of activities like morning and afternoon VB, and the entertainment team started late, like 11'sh and disappered after an hour then retuned at 4 'sh. One critical concern is the condition of the pool tiles. A lot of them are popping out or have come off, creating a rough surface that could be dangerou and cause cuts. This repair should be prioritized "
