The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and comfortable (cheap and cheerful), and had everything I needed, including a few cable TV channels, reliable Wi-Fi connection, and good water pressure with plenty of hot water. I loved the location near the center of town, close to grocery stores and only a short drive to many wineries and other travel destinations. Good value for money. Regards.
Eclectic and unique. Lots of stairs so be prepared. The immediate area around is empty but it is only a short walk to shopping and restaurants. Very clean. Please add 2$ a night and lose the 1.1% surcharge to use a card
A beautiful and peaceful place to stay, with thoughtful design and a relaxing natural setting. The Wi-Fi was reliable enough for remote work, and the staff were incredibly responsive and always happy to help. I left feeling refreshed and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, magical getaway. Hope to return soon!
Beautiful property, nicely set out with awesome view of the vines, superb sunset, only the spa bath “out of order” and the floor in the lounge room/kitchen visibly dirty with foot prints

We loved our stay at Carriages. It's a small place and so you get a very personal service from the owners. They are very knowledgable, but mostly they make you feel incredibly welcome and at home. The cottage we stayed in was clean and bright and we has our own little terrace to sip some their fantastic wine (and very reasoinably priced too). I would recommend this place really highly.
Everything was exactly how it was described. Rooms were beautiful and the property was gorgeous. Even a family of Kangaroos lounging outside my balcony thought so.
If I stayed at a place like this in Napa Valley it would be over 1000/night. Simply incredible views over the Hunter Valley. Kangaroos and wallabies outside your door. Wow! The only thing I would change is the 8am room cleaning. What the heck??
