The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless. The Apex Hotel in Glasgow was a delightful place to stay. Of particular note is the parking arrangement with Q-Park. We had originally booked a room with Wellington Adina Hotel close by, but the Wellington does not offer or facilitate car parking, so we cancelled and went with Apex. The Apex offers a good English breakfast and excellent coffee, both important for us. The room was large and well-appointed. We arrived after a long transatlantic flight and requested an early check-in. No hotel will guarantee this but the Hilton staff worked hard to accomodate us. It was wonderful and much appreciated. It is an easy walk into central Glasgow. Staff were universally pleasant and helpful. Food in the relaxed bar and restaurant areas was excellent and we especially enjoyed the daily buffet breakfast. The Hilton is now our go to hotel in Glasgow.

The hotel was perfect—an easy walk to University of Glasgow/, Hunterian Museum, Kelvingrove and lots of dining options. Breakfast at Soul Food downstairs was AMAZING! However we did learn that many places do not serve food inside in the afternoon. It seems to be a combination of local custom and worker shortages coming back from Covid.
