Balmoral Arms

10/10 Excellent

"A lovely stay up in Scotland. The room was very comfortable and staff were very friendly. A great place to stay to if visiting Balmoral Castle and Braemar."

The Boat Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We booked in for 2 nights for our anniversary and were in the boat house room 15 we thought the room was very small and although very comfy and cosy looked a bit tired no wardrobe and just had enough room to between bottom of bed and wall x no wardrobes as such My daughter upgraded us without us knowing and we moved across the hall to room 15 which was amazing. All the staff were really lovely and friendly, and could not do enough for us The breakfast was lovely. The evening menu for dinner was not extensive , but both meals we had were very nice , although we don't have a dog the boat inn is very dog friendly which is wonderful"

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Craigendarroch Suites Royal Deeside

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed in a room rather than one of the lodges, and the room was lovely, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It's worth noting its on the very edge of the town, around a 15-minute walk from the centre of Ballater. My only disappointment was that the rooms are not serviced daily unless you are staying for a longer period, which wasn't explained at check-in. It was a little frustrating to return after a long day out to find the room hadn't been serviced, as that's one of the things I most enjoy about staying in a hotel. However, once I queried this, the staff explained the policy and provided fresh towels when I asked. It certainly didn't ruin my stay. Overall, this is a lovely hotel with comfortable accommodation, friendly service, and I would happily stay here again."
