Village Atami
10/10 Excellent
"Nice onsen and good breakfast. Location will be good for fireworks, but it’s a little far from the train station."
Shimoda Tokyu Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous setting Helpful staff"
Rakuten STAY Atami
10/10 Excellent
"Our lovely room had a balcony with a view. Loved our stay."
IZU RETREAT ATAGAWA SUIKO by Onko Chishin
10/10 Excellent
"Stunning cliff top location, unbelievable rooms and staff that went above and beyond. Right from being picked up from the station in a beautifully restored car, through to the well appointed rooms (and well stocked free mini bar and room service) and the incredible breakfast and dinner degustations, we had an incredible stay. Mark and the entire team were so lovely to welcome us and make it an unforgettable stay!"
Atagawa Ocean Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our authentic Japanese vacation stay. Fireworks were a surprise we had not expected. Buffet had a large variety of choices although I am allergic to shrimp and do t like seafood so it limited me. I was still able to find enough to eat each day. Onsen was a new experience for us being Canadian but now we love it and will miss this relaxing ritual."
Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima-eki
10/10 Excellent
"Clean and very helpful staff. Good breakfast and love that they have lockers and free shuttle."
La Vista Atami Terrace
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and excellent place to stay. I wish we have stayed for more days"
Prince Smart Inn Atami
10/10 Excellent
"It was a clean and comfortable stay, conveniently located near the station and convenience stores, with friendly staff. You can ship your suitcase to the airport via the Kuroneko Yamato service inside the station, and the Tully's Coffee on the ground floor is a lovely space—this is also where you can pick up your complimentary breakfast."
Senoumi
10/10 Excellent
"The staff at this hotel are super kind and helpful. The English speakers are few so if you do not speak Japanese just have your translate app handy to help them and yourself. We were a little sad the pool was closed and not maintained but the room was very authentic and really fun to stay in. It was the traditional experience we were looking for and the private onsen in room was wonderful to relax in. This is a very small town so if you do not want to hunt for dinner, I would recommend booking the in house dining services, If you are a picky eater there is a grocery store maybe 10 mins of walking from the hotel. They have a nice help yourself bar when you check in with drinks and snacks while they prepare your room. This is absolutely a place to come and relax and take things slow. They offer shuttle service from the hotel to the train station starting at 9am i believe so if you need an early start discuss that with them first. They can also pick you up from the train station but we took a taxi which was also just fine. Not a ton of activities in the area so only come here when you want to take it slow and enjoy the oceanside views. We really enjoyed this one night stay and hope to come back someday."
