We enjoyed Fort Hays and also eating at the Cowboy cafe. When we left we went to Victoria to see the Catheral of the Plains. A very worthy site just off Hwy 70.

We had dinner at Paisley Pears, they have light food, fun atmosphere and yummy wine slushy. We also shopped at Ollie's, new to us. The downtown area was really cute!

Hays is a nice little town. Tried a local burger place, had drinks and apps at Applebee's, shopped at Walmart and stopped for coffee at Scooters on our way out. Stayed there on our way to and from Colorado. We chose a different hotel on our way back

The best thing about Hays is the people. It was a great place to be stuck, with restaurants to choose from. Several people were spotted helpful and friendly, I will come back here next time that I am traveling this way.

Hays is a great town, many options for newer nicer hotels. Spend the extra few bucks to go to one of those places.
