Viking Lodge Motel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at Viking Lodge. Loved the location as it was right on the water and we could walk the shoreline. A good location to head to St Anthony as well as L’Anse aux Meadow. We were looking for somewhere to cut down travel time in the morning to the Labrador ferry. So this worked for everything. They have a great hot tub on the deck which was very appreciated after a day out . We followed the recommendation from the owner for Lightkeepers Cafe at Fishing Point just past St Anthony. This was a great restaurant and a beautiful location. My husband said it was the best seafood chowder that he has had. They have a Viking Feast night that looks interesting but we were not able to fit in our schedule."
Grenfell Heritage Hotel & Suites

"Big clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. Good location."
Raleigh Rooms
10/10 Excellent
"The Raleigh rooms have exceeded our expectations. The place is clean, beautifully decorated and it had everything we needed for comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully equipped (we stayed in Little Oven), with full size stove, fridge, and brand new set of rock cookware. Bbq is also available on the front porch. We were looking at the gorgeous bay and golden sunset while having our dinner. Bed is super comfy and we had beautiful hand made quilts, and fairytale bed runner with puffins, fishermen, seagulls, moose! The bathroom is like mini spa, super spacious, spotless, and with walk-in shower. The owner was very kind and helpful and have left detailed handwritten message since we have arrived fairly late. She is also the owner of the art shop with carvings. Beautiful to see and buy since many are very reasonable priced. We have especially appreciated that we could bring our dog along. Raleigh is small village, very charming, and nice to walk-tru. Raleigh rooms are conveniently located and close to L’Ans aux meadows, Burnt cape, St. Lunaire-Griquet, St. Anthony.. If visiting north Newfoundland (and everyone should at least once), there is no better place to stay!"
