This is a new property. The rooms are sized generously. Parking is either below the building or across the street. The location is great with restaurants and coffee shops across the street. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again.
The staff was amazing and oh so super helpful.
When I arrived to check into my room, I was informed that my confirmation email and their booking did not match up!! The woman at the front desk was amazing and the owner was called. To make sure I got a room for the weekend, she pulled some strings and got me a room in the motel next door! I’m still in shock. People are amazing!
Had a comfortable stay for 2 days during New Year’s! Very clean and friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond to help with our requests. Beautiful views - highly recommend!
The inside apartment was clean new. The first look of the house was old in appearance. The heating was not good in the BR off the kitchen. Bigger BR was toasty. Overall I would return in a minute. Biggest issue was only finding decafe coffee in the cupbord. :(
We really enjoyed this property. The room was very clean and spacious. There were a wide variety of pillow options and since I like really firm pillows and my wife prefers super soft- this was great! They offer good toiletries in the bath and the water pressure was adequate.
The breakfast was more than adequate and included bacon, potato's and an omelette. The coffee was strong as I like and there were plenty of yogurt and fruit options.
We will stay at this property again.
Lovely remote area just outside of North Acadia Park. Spacious rooms friendly staff. The only negative I could find would be if you had trouble with stairs you do have to go upstairs to get to your bedroom so if you have trouble with steps that might factor in to your choosing this place, otherwise we wish we had more time to have spent there.
The room was lovely, sparkling clean, plenty of towels. The staff was extremely helpful.
We have been to many hotel/motels that offer "breakfast included". The breakfast was plentiful and amazing. The hotel was filled and the menu was plentiful. We were pleasantly surprised and sated as well prepared for exploring Bar Harbor. Hotel's location is a fast easy drive from the Harbor.
Loved it! Went with my girlfriend and her brother and it was conveniently located in Bar Harbor, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. It's also easily drivable to Acadia National Park. Would recommend!
We had a lovely stay at the Sand Bar Cottage. The location was perfect. Chris and his staff were very professional and pleasant. Our room & bathroom were spacious. Our only negative comment would be that we did not receive housekeeping every day. The bed was never made up nor was the trash removed, at a minimum. The room fees were upwards of $425/per night. Housekeeping should be provided.
Amazing accommodations in a great location. Within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, and pier. The condo was comfortable, quaint and spotless — a wonderful place to unwind for the day. Eric and Tim were prompt in responding to my questions about the condo — which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be back!
