I booked this hotel bc of the breakfast and it did NOT DISSAPOINT! So many local dishes and eggs, and then breakfast dessert with a choice of 4-5 cakes everyday!

This was a perfect retreat after a hectic week! I wish I had the time to stay longer, hope to return someday :) Great location right off the square. Cute and very clean room. Felt very safe at the hotel and in the city as a whole. The front desk gal was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are out and about late at night, be sure to bring both keys with you!
Old hotel in an old mountain top town. Beautiful property with large rooms, parlors, great staff, great restaurant, etc. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed, but they made one call and re-opened it for us and served an amazing meal with late night enthusiasm on a beautiful deck. The rooms were large, nice baths and very comfortable beds. We generally get a house in Florence and then spend three days as a side trip in San Gimignano. I truly enjoyed this hotel because of its PROXIMITY TO THE ENTRANCE RATHER THAN TO THE NETHER REACHES. The lady in the reception area was especially kind and most helpful...always a plus!
This is a beautiful property, very nicely renovated while keeping the original character. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Would highly recommend this property for families or groups looking for a private location. Staff was very friendly, very helpful.

Hotel was great! Very nice restaurant, relaxing pool, awesome views of Tuscan countryside and Volterra. Parking provided at a fee, but very convenient and accessible. Hotel was perfectly located within the historic city walls, walked to all the sites and enjoyed strolling the streets at night and enjoyed many of the great restaurants in Volterra. Definite city and hotel to visit again.
