Emma was an amazing host. The property was clean, the host was welcoming, and the breakfast was superb with a variety of fresh fruits and muffins to go with your main dish. We had a one-nighter planned for Islay and wanted to spend the night in very nice accommodations. Saw the Islay House and booked. The pictures did not do this place justice. A beautiful renovation of a 17th Century (and later) Country House into a small boutique inn. Wonderful room, the dining room and bar were just what we were hoping for in the stay.
The owner was present and a delight. Staff was attentive and gracious; the dinner in the dining room offered a small but well-executed...
Lovely location out of town and on a quiet street. Owner also operated a restaurant and garden center. So many of your needs were really just a step away. We really appreciated the way it was sort of hands off. We stayed 2 nights. Beds were very comfortable.
