We selected the Best Western in Exeter while visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon. It’s located in a small, quite farming town. We found Restaurants were limited in town but had Lunch on day one and Dinner on day two in Three Rivers at River View (great hamburgers and chicken sandwiches). The hotel did sever a small continental breakfast you can take back to your room. Travel time to the Sequoia visitor center was appx. 1 hr and to Kings Canyon was about 1 1/2 hours.

This hotel is on the way to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park from Los Angeles. One of the last large, budget hotels due south of the Park, before you start getting into the smaller, resort-priced places right next to the Park. The Motel 6 in nearby Porterville LOOKS cheaper--but BEWARE! The Motel 6 hides a $50 "administrative fee" in addition to the price advertised on Hotels.com. So I'd rather stay at a place that just tells me how much its rooms costs, like Super 8 did, than a place...

We stayed here for a weekend trip to the 2 parks and it was great. the staff was super friendly, the room was clean and cozy, and overall it felt very safe. i am a paranoid person and so is my friend, but as two women staying alone in a hotel that’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, i seriously felt so safe. even the town that was up the street had the most amazing, friendly, and helpful people. i would highly recommend staying at the three rivers comfort inn and we will definitely be back.
