This is a beautiful and friendly property. The room was comfortable, everything (TV, bathroom facilities, etc.) worked, and the entire facility was very clean. During our visit, Hurricane Helene moved across the area, and the hotel lost power. The staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was safe. Just driving up to the Orchard Inn took my breath away. It's a beautiful, Victorian building in a mountain forest. When we walked inside we were immediately struck by the view across the room -- an enclosed veranda that overlooks amazing flowers and very busy birdfeeders with a stunning valley view beyond.
