"It's amazing that we managed to book a pool bungalow at high season (February). A beautiful luxurious accomodation with shared pool. The woodwork (which I believe is Teak) in our bungalow was stunningly beautiful, complete with work desk, sofa futon and a living room with an awesome flat screen TV. "Pen was phenomenal. English-speaking and very helpful getting taxis and answering questions. Pen made our stay wonderful. This is a beautiful resort in the middle of nowhere, which was just the getaway we were looking for. We did get a taxi to White Sand Beach one day and I was glad we didn’t stay there because it was too touristy. At night at Parama, all you can hear are birds and frogs. Paradise. "

"We had a wonderful week at AWA and we truly enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the great location. The stay was great value for money, but we did not get a luxurious feeling. Communal areas of the hotel are in need of attention and improvements. There seems to be a lack of maintenance routines which makes the property look tired and worn. "If staying at Khlong Prao Beach, would recommend staying here. Nice quiet complex of bungalows. A slight bit dated in the rooms in spots, but very spacious, comfortable, and clean. (The bathroom is VERY spacious!). Beach towels and carrying basket provided. Breakfast was terrific - lots of variety and some items changing each day. Pool is lovely; beach area not very crowded. Dinner near the bar as the sun set was very relaxing

spa was ok and staff were friendly. BUT under no circumstances take the tour operators they supply. It took us 7 hours in an appalling old smelly van to get to Pattaya. I missed my flight and the driver was both aggressive and very rude. I was told it would take maximum 5 hours. There were no traffic jams but the van wouldn't go above 70kms an hour. The driver spent at least 5 hours of the 7 on the phone. We all agreed he was super rude. Disgusting journey and ended up costing me over 700...

"The resort was inland but a regular shuttle takes you to a nice beach. A restaurant provides beer and food there at very reasonable prices. Free abundant beach chairs and shade is available. Several restaurants are a short walk away down a road heading towards the beach from the front of the hotel. Massage is available at a reasonable price at the hotel as well.
