Quiet location, excellent management, comfortable bed, nice furnishings, good continental breakfast with (as everybody mentions) delicious muffins. Our only complaint is why I downgraded "comfort" & "condition" slightly, as there doesn't seem to be anyplace else where it fits. The tub/shower in Room 17 is old (naturally; the age of everything is a large part of the inn's charm) & requires a long step (at least for us senior citizens) up to get inside and down to leave. The leaving part is...
Had a comfortable stay for 2 days during New Year’s! Very clean and friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond to help with our requests. Beautiful views - highly recommend!
We had a lovely stay at the Sand Bar Cottage. The location was perfect. Chris and his staff were very professional and pleasant. Our room & bathroom were spacious. Our only negative comment would be that we did not receive housekeeping every day. The bed was never made up nor was the trash removed, at a minimum. The room fees were upwards of $425/per night. Housekeeping should be provided.
This is a new property. The rooms are sized generously. Parking is either below the building or across the street. The location is great with restaurants and coffee shops across the street. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again.
The Inn was beautiful, excellent location and wonderful breakfast. Room was lovely and everything was very clean and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again when back in Bar Harbor
The room was big and comfortable, all amenities needed, breakfast was delicious!! Such a nice experience, like home but with hotel amenities!
The only thing I would suggest is a full length mirror , there was none in the room and us ladies need that!
The property is beautiful... Love it was up on a bluff overlooking the property and water...
A Deer was seen grazing in the yard in the evening too..
Loved the Breakfast too.. it was delicious and convenient to get nourishment first thing in the morning without the crowd of downtown restaurants and got us out and about to explore Bar Harbor and spending the day in Arcadia National Park.
Would highly recommend and would return on another visit to that area...
We really enjoyed this property. The room was very clean and spacious. There were a wide variety of pillow options and since I like really firm pillows and my wife prefers super soft- this was great! They offer good toiletries in the bath and the water pressure was adequate.
The breakfast was more than adequate and included bacon, potato's and an omelette. The coffee was strong as I like and there were plenty of yogurt and fruit options.
We will stay at this property again.
The Ivy Manor Inn was a great find for us. We were greeted in the lot by Orville who was happy to help with our bags and lead us our check in where two glasses of bubbly were poured as we got our key and moved into our spacious and very comfortable first floor room. Breakfast was plenty for two people on the go. Don't pass up the blueberry muffins. Seriously. The live music (2-5) on the lawn was an unexpected treat as well with beer and drinks available followed by fire pits in the evenings. The...
Beautiful old building. Easy access. Stephan and staff were very friendly and helpful and you could tell they love their job! The food - oh my gawd sooo good!!! Breakfast daily and afternoon/evening tea as well!! Towels are so fluffy!! Would absolutely return!!!
A great Inn. A little bit of a walk to Bar Harbor (about three quarters of a mile) but much quieter. Acadia entrance about a mile. Breakfast very good, staff and cleaning very good. Very happy with our hotel choice.
We stayed 2 nights at the Highbrook, Sept. 14th & 15th. The room was large and spotless, and had been recently renovated. The location was perfect for visiting Acadia and the Town of Bar Harbor. The free shuttle buses stop at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, it included Breakfast Sandwiches, Oatmeal, Bagels, Muffins, Eggs, Yogurt, Bananas, Orange Juice, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Condiments of all types. We would definitely stay here again.
Location is ideal for walking around Bar Harbor, there’s a grocery store less than 2 blocks away, the unit had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. We had a lovely time and would be delighted to return!
