Downtown Charlottetown
Downtown Charlottetown captivates visitors with its well-preserved Victorian architecture and maritime charm. The birthplace of Canadian Confederation at Province House anchors this historic district where cobblestone streets lead to cultural treasures. Wander along the scenic harbor boardwalk or catch a performance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Victoria Row's shops and St. Peter's Anglican Cathedral showcase the neighborhood's rich heritage. Seafood dominates local menus with famous PEI mussels and lobster rolls stealing the show. Historic inns and boutique hotels housed in heritage buildings offer authentic Maritime hospitality. The compact downtown core is perfectly walkable, with most attractions within a few blocks of each other.

Parkdale
Parkdale offers a taste of authentic Charlottetown living with peaceful tree-lined streets just a short walk from Victoria Park's eastern edge. Music lovers can catch live performances while thrill-seekers try their luck at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino. The Prince Edward Island Brewing Company welcomes visitors to sample local craft beers in this charming residential area with harbor views. Cozy bed and breakfasts in converted heritage homes make for intimate accommodations with local character. Getting around is easiest on foot, with downtown Charlottetown's attractions just a pleasant stroll away. Learn more about Charlottetown
Beneath the Victorian facades of this maritime capital lies a city that wears its 'Birthplace of Confederation' title with understated pride. Waterfront restaurants serve lobster so fresh it practically introduces itself. The Confederation Centre of the Arts stages 'Anne of Green Gables' performances that even locals queue for. Victoria Row transforms into an open-air concert venue on summer evenings. Beaconsfield Historic House offers glimpses into 19th-century affluence without the velvet-rope pretension. After browsing Charlottetown Farmers Market, head to one of the city's craft breweries. The nearby Prince Edward Island National Park provides dramatic red-cliff coastlines when city pleasures have been exhausted.

"Good value"
The Holman Grand Hotel
"Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. My daughter loved the pool. Located in a great spot, walking distances to many shops and restaurants."
The Arts Hotel
"No bells. No whistles. Just a comfy bed in a small clean room, however A/C wasn’t working. Great option if you just need a place to sleep and get cleaned up."
The Great George
"Love the look of this hotel and staff is excellent. Location is the best. A few things we must address to help the management improve. The Carrol building we stayed in had terribly loud floor units for air conditioning. Could not sleep. Also jacuzzi is so outdated and space could be better used. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. A hotel of this standard should not be providing a Holiday Inn selection. Packaged jams, basic breads. Terrible croissants. In a place like PEI, land of great jams and preserves, should have local condiments. Help local businesses and make us feel at home with good food. Even coffee was standard. Again great local coffee. For price we pay expected better. I am not trying to be negative but help elevate your customers experience. The Great George is a very special hotel. Hope these comments help. 🏨"
The Hotel on Pownal
"The hotel’s location is fantastic—easily walkable to local dining, shopping, and the waterfront. While the room itself was comfortable and nice, the bathroom was on the smaller side. My main drawback was the sound insulation; the walls and floors are quite thin, so noise travels easily from neighboring rooms as well as above and below. Thankfully, the hotel strictly enforces an 8:00 PM quiet time policy, which made a huge difference and ensured a peaceful night’s sleep despite the thin walls."
Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown
"Although this is an older motel, it is well kept. The rooms were spacious and our room had access from the parking lot and the back yard which had seating. The grounds were kept very tidy as well. We enjoyed our 3 nights there"
Rodd Charlottetown
"This is such a charming hotel and conveniently located for shopping and dining. Our room was small but super cozy. I loved the mix of new with just a little touch of old. Very quaint. The property is beautiful with the outdoor porch for relaxing with a beverage after shopping or just reading a book."
The Harbour House
"The entire B&B is very charming and well kept. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location to town was excellent. Our room was very large and spacious…#12. Our only recommendation is that new pillows are needed in that room. They are very flat."
