Tucked at the tip of Cape Cod, this artistic haven combines rainbow-flagged tolerance with deep maritime history. Commercial Street buzzes with galleries, taffy shops, and drag performers who might pull you into their sidewalk acts. The Pilgrim Monument offers views worth every step of the climb, reminding visitors the Mayflower Compact was signed in this harbor before Plymouth. P-town's Portuguese fishing heritage flavors local cuisine, while the dunes beyond town hide secluded spots that inspired countless artists. Summer brings throngs of visitors, but the off-season reveals the authentic character of this small town with an outsized cultural impact.
Cory is a wonderful and hospitable owner, we stayed just for night, but our impressions was much bigger. Comfortable room with big bed and clean bathroom, amazing breakfast, perfectly located. I can not make the full description because you should stay and feel it, feel kindness and care. Now P-town for us is a 7 inn, it was really lucky choice. Thank You, Cory! See you next time.
The staff here are so welcoming and knowledgeable about PTown and the Cape, in general. They encourage guests to mingle and get to know each other. There's one guy who appears to live on site, in a room overlooking the pool, who can be a bit nasty at times with a horrible attitude. Even though he's a guest, he is ALWAYS there and not very pleasant to other guests. Stay clear of him and your stay should be fine.
The Whalewalk BnB was the perfect weekend getaway: location is great, facilities were wonderful, service was impeccable and the food was terrific. It is exactly what everyone should experience on their vacation. Go there - you will love it!
The Breakwater was $100 for the night and reviews said it was conveniently located next to the beach so we gave it a try. The stay surprised me and exceeded expectations. It seems like a locally ran and well managed property with new furniture and decor. The beach was literally across the street and gave us a beautiful view at sunset. Staff was friendly and wifi was solid. Thanks!!!
Great place to stay at, super friendly and accommodating staff, will definitely book a room next time we are in Provincetown. Make sure to stick around for hands down one of best breakfasts in town.
If driving around town, use Bradford Street (Route 6A) instead of Commercial Street, which is mostly a one-way road that becomes a de facto pedestrian zone at times. The location is convenient to the center of town and the waterfront, yet just removed from the busiest part of the main street to provide an ideal place for relaxation. Bob and Stephen (and Shelby) are wonderful hosts.
The property is terrific with outdoor hot tub, swimming pool and more. The staff went out of there way to make us comfortable and happy. The room was wonderful, the mattress perfect, and beyond clean. There was nothing to complain about even if one wanted to. From the outdoor cocktail hour to the morning breakfast the hotel staff went out of their way to please the guests. Even the janitorial staff were friendly and inviting.
We could not have enjoyed ourselves more.
Really wonderful. ...
The house was beautiful! The owners were great, friendly and very helpful. The house is located right off of Commercial St. where all the best dinning and shopping are located. It is also a short drive from the National Seashore for hiking, biking and beaching. I would highly recommend this establishment.
This was our first time staying at this property as well as our first time in Provincetown. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Paul greeted us and gave us a tour of the property and all the amenities. Not only are the rooms beautiful and the location ti commercial street ideal but the communal spaces are amazing too. Breakfast was wonderful and having access to coffee/tea/juices 24/7 was so nice, especially to bring out by the fire pit at night. All the staff was so welcoming and...
location excellent AND greeted by MAY !!!!! the sweetest and most lovable dog in residence. What a wonderful way to start the day with a wet nose and wagging tail.
We enjoyed our stay. The “cabin” rooms are a small old school motel section behind the main house. There is a trail from this area to a side street that drops you right into the commercial area of P-town. Nice parking lot. Secluded room feel with big windows and lots of light. Completely renovated bathrooms with rainshower heads. A/C. My husband didn’t like the small TV but it had tons of channels. Room had big bar fridge with freezer, fan for white noise, hardwood floors, nice linens,...
Everything was clean and in good working order. It is changing over from the Wellfleet Motel. The rooms we stayed in were unchanged but they mentioned they were slowly changing everything over. The outdoor pool is pretty good and overall it is a quiet place to stay.
I absolutely loved staying at Prince of Whales. It’s a super quiet location, right off of route 6. There’s a restaurant right at the top of the parking area & there are several cafes right down the road.
The full kitchen made it easy for me to bring food to prepare so that I didn’t have to eat out every night. Pots, pans, knives, plates, utensils are all included. The coffee maker takes k-cups, so make sure you don’t just bring ground coffee (like I did). The cottage is small, it’s a “tiny...
