This hotel is a jewel!!! The rooms are spotlessly clean and have every amenity needed for a beach stay. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. I don't believe I've ever experienced a more friendly hotel staff! From the General Manager on down, everyone made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel!
everything was great except when I inquired about late check out on saturday evening, I was told that only one person could approve that and she didn't come in until 9am on Sunday. I had to be out by 6:45am and wanted to come back at 11:30am to pack my room, etc -- but was told that they could not assist me. It might be helpful if there is someone that can approve/accomodate these requests the night before instead of risking getting charged an extra night. I opted to pack my room and check out...

I went to Tomsriver to visit family and friends. I chose the clarion from prior reviews and they were so right. The rooms were clean and fresh, the staff, house keeping to front desk were so kind and pleasant. The Resturant/ bar fabulous. The rooms are clean and well kept up. I saw reviews that the rooms are outdated and not kept up. Jersey Motels being by the ocean are extremely hard to maintain because of the salt in the air. Does much damage.
I have been in motels all over the jersey shore that have mildew smelling everything in the room.

I had a great stay at the SOHO. I would defiantly be back . However, I really wasn't a fan of how luke-warm the water temptress was...I'm not someone who perfers it burning hot but would like some heat to my showers. I called the front desk and they said they would speak to the manager but nobody got back to me. Thw water temputure did not change...I told them on check out.
