Learn more about Soledad
Between the restored Mission Nuestra Señora de la Soledad and the dramatic spires of Pinnacles National Park lies a town that quietly delivers California at its most authentic. Hike among ancient volcanic formations where California condors soar overhead, their massive wingspans casting shadows across rugged trails. The mission offers a peaceful glimpse into 18th-century Spanish colonial life, with gardens that bloom against adobe walls. Wine enthusiasts can sample distinctive vintages at local tasting rooms like Hahn and Wrath, where the Salinas Valley's unique terroir produces remarkable Pinot Noir. After a day exploring, local restaurants serve farm-fresh cuisine harvested from the surrounding fields – the same fertile land that John Steinbeck once immortalized in his novels.

Monterey Beach Hotel, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel
"We loved our stay here! Beautiful view of and access to the ocean. We loved sitting on the main level drinking coffee, playing games, eating dinner and enjoying the atmosphere. The s’mores and self-service wine wall are amazing and the pool area is so fun!"
Sand Castle Inn
"Property owner keeps it clean and he’s very accommodating. Almost checked in before their check out time. Rooms smell amazing and fresh. For the price it’s astonishing!"
Bay Breeze Inn
"Hôtel agréable et près des restaurants et magasins. Voyage avec ma fille pour une nuit."
El Castell Motel
"Clean room and convenient to Monterey Peninsula attractions."
Sand Dollar Inn
"- Staff was nice and attentive, however they requested a $100 deposit for the room on TOP of my online reservation once I arrived, which I was told will be "given back in 6-7 business days." I imagine this is to prevent people from damaging the building so they can . - Room was clean, but had obvious maintenance issues. Caulk seals in the bathroom were missing and some of the tiles were cracked so there WILL be future mold from water. Air conditioning and heating was reasonable for the summer weather via a small wall mounted unit. - Parking is tight in the back, but reasonable in the front. You are fitting MAX a modern 1/2 ton sized truck, don't try anything bigger."
Pacific Inn
"Parking was tight but otherwise very good stay"
Travelodge by Wyndham Monterey Bay
"Value was excellent: clean, comfortable, easy parking, convenient location, instant hot water in shower, staff was very helpful and courteous."
Holiday Inn Express at Monterey Bay by IHG
"The room faced the Bay so there was a lot of traffic noise. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The room had ants."
The Quail
"Great staff and very nice rooms. Not particularly stroller friendly with the stairs up to the room but everything else was great."
