Learn more about Sherman Oaks
Between the Santa Monica Mountains and the buzz of Los Angeles, this Valley neighborhood offers surprising contrasts. The Sherman Oaks Galleria provides retail therapy where locals pretend not to notice celebrities examining the same shoes. Fryman Canyon Park rewards hikers with sweeping Valley panoramas without the crowds of more famous trails. Castle Park delivers mini-golf and arcade nostalgia that somehow never gets old. Van Nuys Sherman Oaks War Memorial Park offers tennis courts and picnic spots beneath sprawling trees. After dark, Ventura Boulevard transforms into a restaurant row where sushi chefs compete for the freshest fish and mixologists craft cocktails that rival anything over the hill in Hollywood.

Outdoor pool for guests only - requires wristband. Overnight parking for $20. Airport shuttle for $10. Checkout by noon. Check in after noon."

"Great airport hotel. 24 hour shuttle to and from the airport runs every 15-20 minutes. Rooms were spacious and clean, and staff was friendly. Would stay again!"
Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City
10/10 Excellent
"Checked in one hour early at 3pm which was excellent seeing the hotel was very busy the night before with guests who had stayed to attend Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights. The new Ozzy Osbourne feature had long lines to enter and Sharon Osbourne and Jack Osbourne attended. The hotel has been going through some renovations which are due to finish soon. The hotel is walking distance from Universal Studios and you can walk to it but now to even enter Universal City Walk you have to go through security which is new as this was not in place 2 months ago and they have built a large fence all around City Walk. I personally think this may lose City Walk business if people are put through a security scanner especially when it’s busy & could result in a long wait to enter City Walk. I can understand this security checks for the studio but not for City Walk and what they have done looks a total mess. The easiest way to get from the hotel and back is to use the free shuttle which you catch outside the main entrance of the hotel. Kevin Finister had arranged for us to have our favourite room on the 24th Floor. Kevin is always helpful and wants all the guests to have a good time. The atmosphere at the hotel is the best and one of the reasons we stay at this hotel even if we are not planning to visit Universal Studios. The room was excellent,& the air conditioning works to perfection. The WiFi is fast and stable. I think maybe they need to install some USB-C ports next to the bed"

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, Los Angeles
8/10 Good
"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Our room had a great view, and I love the size of the hotel and the many floors. The customer service was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, which really helped make up for some of the concerns with the property. The hotel itself is definitely showing its age and could use some updating. Areas such as the elevators, flooring, bathroom vanity, and other parts of the room and hotel are starting to look worn and outdated. Some renovations would make a big difference. My biggest disappointment was the cost of breakfast at the café. Breakfast for two people was $112, with one person having the buffet and the other only having a bowl of oatmeal and coffee. I felt this was extremely expensive, especially for a hotel breakfast. Overall, the wonderful customer service, great view, and atmosphere made our stay enjoyable, but updating the property and offering more reasonable breakfast prices would greatly improve the overall guest experience."
