"Nice people at motel "

"Yes, the AC was good, and the kitchen was enough. "

"After parking my car, the walking to the entrance, there was trash and dog poop on the sidewalk, which is still there when I left. The lobby is beautiful. Room was nice, clean but average-nothing special. My room, no matter what I set the temperature at stayed at 66*. I called and asked them for an extra blanket, it never came. The next morning, I called and asked them to send someone to fix it. I waited an hour and a half and no one showed up. I enjoyed the beach with the chairs and service. Lunch was great too. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels. I guess for the price of this hotel, I expected more. For me, it was average."

"I was very pleased with the whole resort. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The staff was helpful, especially the person on the phone whenever I would call down for assistance. I did prefer the room in the newer tower to the room in the original building. It was quieter and roomier and nicely appointed. I would definitely recommend the Opal Resort and would like to stay there again."

"Property was run down. Toilet seat and base wobbled. Toilet tank ran out of water and would not flush. Card to open the door had to be reprogrammed twice. The bathroom sink clogged up and would take a long time to clear. No coffee pot. The bathroom and kitchen cabinets were worn down"

"This is a 1 star hotel & the General Manager Brandon Philpart made it worst. My stay was for 1 week. Large loose piece of wood hanging over the bed, over my head (i have video), the large hole in the bed, wouldn’t clean the room, leak under the sink (we had to use sheets to contain), toilet didn’t work properly, laundry room out of service, no iron, no hair dryer. And still the manager didn’t think all this was a big deal. "

"Loved the rocking chairs on the balcony overlooking both the pool and the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Lovely all the way around."
