Learn more about Lewistown
Discover a slice of small-town America where the Juniata River flows past historic downtown buildings housing shops that still know regular customers by name. The Stone Arch Bridge offers perfect photo opportunities before catching a classic film at the restored Embassy Theatre. Kish Park provides leafy respite with trails and a dog park where locals gather on summer evenings. Nature enthusiasts can venture to nearby Reeds Gap State Park for hiking through Pennsylvania's rolling forests. In winter, the town square transforms with twinkling lights that would make Norman Rockwell reach for his paintbrush. The borough's 19th-century architecture tells stories of industrial boom times, while today's cafes serve comfort food with genuine small-town hospitality.

The Nittany Lion Inn
"Primo place to stay while doing business at Penn State or visiting the college campus. Room was absolutely clean and comfortable, air temp crisp and adjustable to your liking. Bathroom was immaculate and had great ammenities. Highly recommend and will be my destination for the next time I'm doing business at Penn State or visiting the campus."
Hyatt Place State College
"Great location"
Nittany Budget Motel
"You get what you pay for but for the price it wasn’t too bad. Free breakfast and close to main campus. The only con I had was that the walls are thin. There was a dog barking outside all morning making it hard to sleep in. Overall a great place and I will come back!"
Wyndham Garden State College
"A very unexpected surprise! Really nice hotel with a golf course to boot! Great breakfast and views. Will definitely be back!"

"Great place. Clean & staff was wonderful"
Graduate by Hilton State College
"First time staying here and all the extra "college" touches were great. The do not disturb pendants as an example. The staff were very attentive and the property was well kept and clean. The only draw back was that one elevator was out of service, but these things happen. Will definitely stay here again when in State College!"
