While the Montecito Inn is a favorite destination having stayed a half a dozen times over the years, some elements are starting show a bit of wear and tear. In our cozy room both the bedroom cabinetry and bathroom hardware were in quite poor operation. A little TLC on these items could go a long way to move my review from 4 stars to 5. But the cleanliness, staff, and surrounding area continue to draw us back to this property. We love the secluded pool and jacuzzi, as well as the lobby sitting...

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My fiance and I stayed overnight because we were attending a wedding at San Ysidro Rancho and for those of you attending a wedding there- this only 7 mins away from the ranch, has ocean views, its clean, charming, rooms come fully equipped with your own patio, fireplace, 4-post bed, complimentary breakfast that can be delivered to your room and so on. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and did I mention that the staff was incredible....

It's the little things, sometimes, and Harbor House does it in spades! We booked a two night stay so there was a gratis breakfast basket waiting for us in our room--the homemade banana bread is just like mom used to make! The kitchenette is fully appointed with utensils, dishes, even a corkscrew. We found a full-sized coffee maker with tons of coffee and fixins, including flavored creamers.
