I booked this hotel for my parents who are much concerned with comfort and cleanliness. They were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. They liked the location which was a bit out of the way but they said it was comfortable and safe. They were impressed with the hotel itself. They said it was nice and clean and didn't have any odors in the rooms or hallways (which has been a problem in the past with other places). Over all they were satisfied and they would stay there again.

Staff brought the history of the home to life; Sara gave us a tour of rooms w/ gold gilt ceilings & explained how the home was saved from demolition. Breakfast servers were the model of perfect service & also willing to take us to the wine cellar & unoccupied rooms. Even the groundskeeper was warmly welcoming & a source of info for the area. The Sayre Mansion staff brought Bethlehem to its full glory!

Perfect stay overlooking the Delaware river. Peaceful getaway in a historic building. Staff couldn’t have been more delightful. The room was gorgeous. Delicious, quality breakfast was prepared with fresh berries, yogurt and mini croissant followed by a chef prepared caramelized onion and ham frittata. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. My only regret was not having dinner in the dining room the night before. Will be returning again.

We found the Black Bass Hotel to be an excellent get-away spot. The staff members were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and well kept, and the on-site restaurant was wonderful, wait staff included!
