My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Elm House. The staff was pleasant, the room was nice, the property was all we needed. The hotel grounds were lovely, and the room was comfortable and spacious, but the overall service, while friendly, is not as good as it should be for the price. The front desk completely neglected to tell us about any of the "extras", like the free wine tastings at Ferrari-Carrano vineyards (value of $35 per person), the complimentary daily wine tasting at the hotel, and the corkage fee waiver at John Ashe for bottles purchased at Ferrari-Carrano ($25 value). Staying at this property was nice, the most important impression that I got while staying at the property is that the owners actually CARE about the property - the evidence is all around in the level of maintenance and upkeep. This property is nice, clean and well kept - I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
Just amazing. I had a pretty significant event in my life that really required me to get away and clear my head. After some searching, I came across the Glen Ellen Inn Secret Cottages, about an hour away from where I live. The photos looked nice, and the reviews were all excellent, to the point that it was hard to believe. But the jetted tub called to me!

I loved the fact that there was a wine tasting every night at 5:00pm with snacks. It was perfect. Breakfast was delicious as well. The pool is heated so no matter the weather you can have dip. Its close to everything including the little down town. Overall I loved that it wasn't not a large hotel but a cozy one with attention to detail.
