Learn more about East Aurora
Discover the artistic soul of America in this village where the Arts and Crafts movement lives on at the Roycroft Campus. Wander through artisan workshops that feel frozen in time, then raise a pint at 42 North Brewing Company where locals debate the merits of seasonal brews. History buffs shouldn't miss the Millard Fillmore Presidential Site, where period furnishings transport visitors to the 13th president's era. Knox Farm State Park offers pastoral landscapes perfect for afternoon picnics. The Explore and More Children's Museum keeps younger travelers entertained with hands-on exhibits. For a true local experience, time a visit to coincide with the East Aurora Farmers Market, where artisanal goods prove this village's creative spirit extends well beyond its famous campus.

The Delavan Hotel & Spa
"The 2000s called - they want their gaudy Italian-American aesthetic back. The Delavan strikes me as a boutique hotel long past its prime. Like all hotels in WNY, it's definitely got some signs of age and neglect. Lobby: 7/10 – Pretty to look at. Breakfast costs money. GPS will try to send you in through the back of the parking lot off Genesee Road (the hotel entrance is off Transit Road). The "luxury scent" pumping through the vents was a little cloying but not terrible. Front desk staff were pleasant. Elevator/Hallway: 3/10 – It works, but it smells like feet. It WILL trap other scents. We got on one time and it smelled like feet, cigarettes, and that lobby scent. I imagine it would be awful if you were sensitive to smells. The carpet upstairs is in sore need of replacement and is clearly covering up a rotting subfloor, but it's not a horrific sight the way some other reviewers make it out to seem. Room: 7/10 – A standard clean hotel room with that gaudy 2000s "luxury" aesthetic. My partner, who's born/raised PNW, got a kick out of how New York the whole space felt. The shower is awful - I could get better heat and water pressure out of a hose. The bed was very springy but the pillows? Somehow the most supportive hotel pillows I've ever slept on. Genuinely shocked by that. We were on the third floor FWIW. We were in town for a family event, so we didn't use anything inside the property. All that being said, we'd come back!"
