Learn more about Old Lyme
Wander through the Florence Griswold Museum, where American Impressionists once lived and painted in what feels like a time capsule of artistic inspiration. The Lieutenant River beckons kayakers with its gentle current and abundant wildlife that seems to pose for photographs. Sound View Beach offers that perfect mix of small-town charm and coastal relaxation without the pretension of fancier shores. Summer brings an influx of cottage-renters who return year after year like migrating birds. The historic Lyme Street showcases sea captains' homes that silently tell tales of maritime adventures. For nature enthusiasts, nearby Rocky Neck State Park and Gillette Castle provide day-trip escapes with views that have inspired artists for generations.

"Nice hotel"
Hilton Mystic
"Room was comfortable and clean.ceiling peeling from obvious leaks, could use a refresh. Refrigerator freezer over frozen with som old substance on the ice. Yucky. Maintenance responded immediately and changed out refrigerator and helped regulate room temperature. Woman from maintenance very helpful. Staff in restaurant very professional attentive. Breakfast good but Coffee weak and tasteless. Just a Senior Citizen observation(toilet very low ) overall a great stay, great location, staff attentive and helpful."
Spark by Hilton Mystic Groton

"The staff was friendly, and location was great. Near all sites."
Hyatt Place Mystic
"This is a great place to stay for families. There were a lot of children often playing together in the pool. All were pleasant. The rooms were fairly comfortable with nice bedding. It would truly be helpful to have some utensils in the room given the microwave and fridge to facilitate snacks for kids. The shampoos and soaps, etc were ok. The breakfasts were pretty good, but only open for two hours during the week. Worked for us given we had young kids, but it was a very busy place during that time. The staff worked very hard to keep up with everything. The staff here are phenomenal - always pleasant and helpful and very patient. Given the number of children, this is really not a place to rest and relax unless you're used to running, jumping, little screams and closing doors. However, all tends to be quiet by about 9pm. The hotel is very convenient to activities and restaurants and the grounds are very nice."
Sound View Greenport
"The views are amazing! The breakfast was a great perk. Short drive to town but you really don't need to leave the grounds with bar/restaurant/beach/pool all there."
