Old Town Torrance
Old Town Torrance captures Southern California history with well-preserved early 20th-century architecture and landmarks dating back to 1912. Wander past Spanish Colonial Revival facades and vintage storefronts while discovering a thriving Japanese-American cultural hub. The weekly farmers market transforms Civic Center Drive into a community gathering spot with local produce and artisanal goods. The neighborhood shines with exceptional Japanese cuisine - from authentic ramen and sushi to izakaya establishments - alongside Mexican taquerias and American diners. Most shops and restaurants operate Tuesday through Sunday, with many closing Mondays. This walkable district is perfect for pedestrian exploration, with street parking readily available except during farmers market days.

Southwood
Southwood offers a slice of authentic suburban Los Angeles without the typical tourist buzz. Families stroll tree-lined streets past mid-century ranch homes with well-kept lawns. The neighborhood parks provide perfect spots for afternoon relaxation while nearby Del Amo Fashion Center satisfies shopping cravings. For adventure seekers, Redondo Beach and SoFi Stadium are just a short drive away. Local eateries serve everything from Mexican to Asian comfort food at wallet-friendly prices. Most travelers choose vacation rentals in single-family homes, giving you that genuine suburban experience. A car is pretty much essential here, with wide streets and plenty of free parking making exploration a breeze.

West Torrance
West Torrance gives you a taste of genuine Southern California suburban life without the tourist crowds or beachfront prices. The neighborhood's tree-lined streets and well-kept parks like Columbia Park offer perfect spots for morning jogs or afternoon picnics. While major attractions aren't within the neighborhood itself, you're just a short drive from South Bay Galleria and Redondo Beach Pier. Family-friendly restaurants serve everything from casual Mexican to Asian cuisine at budget-friendly prices. Most accommodations are comfortable motels and extended-stay hotels that won't break the bank. Having a car is essential for exploring—SoFi Stadium and Del Amo Fashion Center are nearby, making West Torrance an ideal home base for greater LA adventures.

Northwest Torrance
Northwest Torrance offers a peaceful escape from LA's hustle while keeping you close to the action. Columbia Park and Charles H. Wilson Park provide green retreats with playgrounds and walking paths for outdoor enthusiasts. Nearby South Bay Galleria and Del Amo Fashion Center satisfy shopping cravings, while family-friendly restaurants serve everything from Korean to Mexican cuisine. Budget-friendly motels and vacation rentals make this suburban neighborhood an affordable base for exploring Southern California. Wide streets with minimal traffic create a pleasant environment for evening strolls. Most attractions require a car, but you'll appreciate the quiet nights and ample parking after busy days of sightseeing.

Seaside
Seaside's quiet streets lined with mid-century homes create the perfect escape from LA's hustle. Just a short drive from Torrance Beach, this neighborhood gives you authentic suburban living with ocean breezes thrown in for free. Morning walks reveal locals walking dogs and kids playing in small parks, while the scent of eucalyptus and salt air fills your lungs. Dining options are limited to family-owned cafes with early closing hours, so plan accordingly. Most visitors rent homes or apartments for that genuine residential experience. A car is definitely recommended, as public transit is sparse, but you'll appreciate the easy parking and quick access to nearby Del Amo Fashion Center.

"Wonderful stay! Clean room and excellent service."
Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s modern, clean, and welcoming feel. The open layout gives the property a spacious atmosphere, and everything was well-maintained. The pool and hot tub area were definitely a highlight for our kids after spending the day at the park. The pool closes at Midnight. It was a great place to relax and enjoy some time with my family. Our friends stay at the Sheraton which is also a walking distance in between the hotels. The location was also excellent, especially if you’re visiting Universal Studios. The walk to the park was very close (10-15min) and safe. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel."
Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport
"A clean, quiet, and super convenient airport stay Fantastic airport hotel. The location is perfect for quick access to the terminal, and despite being so close, the rooms are really quiet — I slept incredibly well. The rooms were spotless, the beds very comfortable, and the showers strong and refreshing. The staff were kind and genuinely helpful. They even gave us a free late checkout when I added my Hyatt membership number, which was a great touch and made our travel day much easier. The only downside is the shared airport shuttle. Because it also serves the multistory parking next door, it can get busy at peak times. The shuttle picks up at the parking lot before the hotel, so if there’s a queue, you might not get on the first (or even second) bus. Just plan a little extra time. On the plus side, the shuttle drivers are wonderful — patient, friendly, and professional, even when dealing with some very rude passengers. Please tip them, they absolutely deserve it. Overall, a quiet, clean, comfortable, and well‑located hotel with great staff. I’d happily stay again."
DoubleTree by Hilton LAX - El Segundo
"The staff is great and the hotel is quiet. It was a pleasant stay however the room was not the cleanest in my opinion. The tub had some black stains and the bathroom floor seems like it could use a good mop. The other issue was the elevator. It took forever at times and one day it was shut down. The elevator call buttons were not flush to the wall, perhaps they were working on them. But overall the stay was still pleasant."
