This place is fabulous! The owners are so friendly and accomodating! The place itself is beautiful and so warm and cozy! Our room was very nice and very clean and the bed was fantastic! Breakfast the next morning was so good! The morning we were there, they offered different things to choose from from fresh fruit or a choice of different types of flavored or plain pancakes and the best bacon ever!! Wished we could have stayed all week!!
The inn was extremely cozy, comforting. An old world charm. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room very clean. Loved the gas fireplace, couches, rocking chairs to hang out at night and chat. Breakfast was delicious and the tavern food amazing! Shout out to the chef. Caspian Lake is terrific (mere steps away), and the lodge provides all manner of kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and more. A nice, clean room, new bedding, on the floor above a full-service restaurant. They even have a nice sauna in the common area. I arrived after hours and my key was waiting at the reception. Heating in the room is hot water radiator, which makes curious noises at night, but once you figure out what it is it is not bothersome. The road traffic gets noisy in early morning, if light sleeper ask for a room facing back. The inexpensive restaurant has great selection for breakfast.
Hotel was great, grounds were lovely, pool area has a great vibe and is a fun space to relax. Bar has good drink options. Good place to bring your family for a get away. Housekeeping could be a little more thorough, had to call to get trashes emptied. Other than that everything was great, will be going back.

The hotel facility was amazing. Expedia is a total rubbish. I was told by the Expedia woman that I was buying a room at the Indoor water park and the passes for my family and everything was all set in a package deal. When we arrived not only was the room she booked us NOT AT THE WATER PARK but the tickets were NOT included! I was told by hotel staff that Expedia cannot give package deals- room only. Pros - charming, beautiful, cozy, kind of historic, very "Austrian", delicious food, beautiful view. Many things to do on the property - fitness, yoga, pools, snowshoeing, cross country ski,(obviously we were here in winter ) , complimentary tea and cookies in the afternoon. Lots of Trapp family and Sound of Music memorabilia throughout the lodge.
Cons - If you're a Sound of Music fan, you'll be very disappointed to find out that the "Trapp Family Lodge" is not full of Trapp family working...

I think the best parts are the amazing breakfasts and the inn keepers. They make delicious food and also are so hospitable. The coffee is also superb - I’m a bit of a coffee snob and their coffee was excellent.
The bed was also very comfortable and I loved the afternoon/evening snacks. The homemade blueberry pie was outstanding!

This was our 1st experience at a Bed&Breakfast it meet all our expectations. Valerie was a wonderful hostess with a great personality knew the area well gave great suggestions where to go and what to see. Her breakfasts were yummy and filling didn’t let us down. Water pressure for days in one of the suites! The rest of the suite was great, no issues except for the hot tub being out of order. I was happy to actually be able to wash my long thick hair, which I usually cannot do at hotels.
Spruce Peak is an amazing complex. It is it's own little ski village with shops restaurants and entertainment. The perfect location with extremely convenient skiing accommodations. Very helpful, thoughtful, and courteous staff.
