We were doing a road tour of Sweden and just happened upon this lovely property situated on a lake surrounded by a conservation area. Our room was in the new building facing the water. The room was spotless and modern in design. Each room had a small balcony. The property is a spa and has all those features- massages,, saunas, steam, indoor and outdoor pools plus hot tubs. One unique treat was the "house barge" tethered to the shore which had it's own sauna with wrap around windows looking out at...
Fun property but getting check in info required multiple calls, emails, and eventually Hotels.com intervention. Shouldn't be that much work by the guests to confirm check in and get a door code.
The hotel itself only has 13 rooms, I think. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk is only staffed a couple of hours during the day, so make sure you get the code to enter the hotel. My Visa card wouldn't work when I went to pay, so we worked it out in US...
I stayed at the hotel to work remotely for a week and for that purpose it was perfect. Solid wifi across the property and nice and quiet. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
The Hotell Park was excellent. The hotel and the cottage in which we stayed were beautifully decorated. The breakfast bar was wonderful. And the owners/staff were so friendly and helpful. I would stay again in this hotel if we visit the area.
