My husband and I had a brief one night stay but the location is great (very close to many restaurants and shops), the room was clean and comfortable, check in was quick and easy, and the complimentary breakfast was a great perk!
Beautiful place! The staff was extremely personable, friendly and helpful. Got an upgraded room, which was impeccably clean, modern, yet cozy. So many lovely touches that made this a great stay, like the complimentary hot apple cider, staff knowing you by name, and watercolor map of the property. Delicious breakfast, and also highly recommend the dinner tasting menu! Will definitely be returning! Centrally located within the Russian River area.
I have stayed at this hotel twice now when I travel with work. The staff is amazing. Ashely at the reception is always very friendly and helpful. Devon is my favorite bartender. He is always very welcoming. I recommend this hotel for the staff and vibe. Beds and comfortable and rooms are clean. The restaurant, Grossmans is delicious. My favorite is the Lox & Latke Benedict
Even if the house weren’t fabulous, historic, and immaculately Victorian, you should stay at the Gables for the gourmet breakfasts alone! Larry is definitely a five star chef, and Pam is a marvellous pastry chef. In addition to their considerable talent and charm, they are fantastic gardeners. This was a great place! Everything was well planned for a disabled.person. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The location was perfect for enjoying the downtown area. It was a pleasure just to rest in bed,mattress was amazing. The dining area was simple and the food was yummy. The Starbucks coffee didn't hurt either. 😁
This is a great hotel if you like to stay someplace without paying for the "extras" of a modern hotel stay. They have coffee in the hall, hot showers and heaters if it's cold. No AC (although rarely needed), blow dryer, iron or continental breakfast. Perfect for simple travelers, but not for those who need pampering.
Could use a cabinet in the bathroom. There was nowhere to put toiletries down while using the sink etc.

Great place, friendly staff. Comfortable accommodations with a nice breakfast. Pool is wonderful during the summer months. There are 2 great places to eat across the street right by the river-Farmhand & Stumptown brewery-very convenient. Also convenient to Armstrong Woods. Will be back!
Homewood is perfect for family. The property is clean, spacious, comfortable. It has laundry for client use, pool and gym. Also, the reservation includes breakfast which is great. The hotel is 7-9 minutes away from downtown of Santa Rosa. Hotel is on its own, have to drive around to go to restaurants but fortunately nearby places are 7-10 minutes drive only.
We spent a few nights for a weekend escape with our dog from San Francisco.
The location is ideal for exploring the wineries in Sonoma and Healdsburg by car.
The staff was extremely welcoming, and the property was clean and exactly what we were looking for during our brief staycation.
There are food options and a casino nearby.
I highly recommend this place for families, couples, and pet owners.
